About Emily
Emily Brown grew up in the North Bay and attended UC Berkeley where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture. She then worked for Kava Massih Architects (KMA) in San Francisco designing mainly multi-family residential projects in urban settings. After receiving her Masters of Architecture degree from UCLA, she returned to the Bay Area and worked again for KMA, in their Berkeley office. Since having her first daughter in 2006 she has worked mostly for herself designing single-family residential projects; from interior remodels, additions, and whole house new construction – she’s done it all and has experience getting projects permitted in various cities and jurisdictions all over the Bay Area. From 2016-2021 she was a project manager at DMARC studio in San Rafael where she worked on a variety of projects including restaurants, private schools, multi-family residential, and single-family residential. Above all, Emily is most passionate about the long-lasting relationships that she builds with her clients. She sees design as a collaborative process and feels the mark of a successful project is a happy client. Emily currently works and lives in Novato with her husband and three daughters.
